I bought a new Samsung 120GB hard drive and want to use it as my 2nd backup drive.Already I have mt primary 80GB drive partitioned into two C,D.The CMOS has auto detection on, but by only using Computer Management I can partition the drive to <32GB.How can I detect a larger partition.

Running XP Pro.

Remove the jumper on the drive that sets the drive not to exceed 32GB.

Bingo!

Just a lingering question though. What would be the adavantages of making more than one partition even on a second drive?
