Here is the EXTREMELY short version:

Christina went home to the USA after her contract ended, to visit family & friends.

I had a 9-day vacation.

I stayed here, working through a hellish summer intensive at my old job.

both our home computers were remotely hijacked - a huge fiasco.

I had another 9 day vacation.

I landed a sweet, sweet new job with an old boss of mine. This involved me moving out of my apartment, to a nice, newly remodeled 20+pyoung basement apartment. So, I flew C back from the States, so she could help with the move & start job hunting.

We moved. Smile

I started working part-time at the new job; C job hunted.

We re-took control of our comps, and have re-rigged our security protocols.

Ch'u-sok: 9 days off, but we still had a lot of moving/settling stuff to do.

I went to Japan for a day-run (tourist visa).

Our school hired C for part-time, but she will also teach at a local private high school.

Part time work for me (still).

We just got back from a weekend trip to O-san & Ch'ang-won.

We do the Osaka visa run this coming weekend - 3 days. Sat & Sunday nights to party in Osaka. Woo-hoo!

I have 2 months off for winter; plans undecided.

And yes, I know I need to update my website. I am currently only teaching 10 hours a week, so that should be no problem.

Halloween undecided - Itaewon, Song-tan/O-san & Ch'ang-won are all possibilities.

Details will follow, if anyone who hasn't pm'ed us with concerns is/are curious.

For everyone who followed me through the job hunt, I lucked out - everything dovetailed for me fine. 2.8, new apt close to work, 3 months vacation, plus Kor holidays, and a boss I can count on (as I worked for him before).

G.
Well, you seem to be rather full of yourself. All puffed up and boastful. And what makes you think that this forum is an appropriate place to display your accomplishments? Send a letter to your friends, but don't waste bandwidth here.

Are you going to take your ball and go home now?

ps Joe Thanks, you're stupid

Tiger - that WAS an old thread - last year. Where do you find some of these? Or were you just looking up Halloween info?

Coolsage, I don't know if you really know or care what happened last year, but not long after that, C's job fell through, the investors pulled out of my boss's school, and we were out millions of won all said & told.

I can see where if you didn't know us before, that might be a deal & sound boastful/arrogant. But I've been on this site (chat & boards) for almost 8 years now, trying my best wwhen I have time to help others out.

We had rough times before that post, and almost worse ones after - but during that time frame, we had lost touch with a lot of people here who knew us & were concerned. It was easier to post it up like that than cut & paste every time someone sent us a pm.

Reading it over, yeah - it sounds a little pompous/boastful, but I am not like that in RL. As, I hope, you aren't like YOUR post in RL, either.

Tiger, if you want Halloween info, look at threads for this year. Razz We missed you at Denny's going away; hope to see you for Halloween weekend. And another Song-tan run in the future, as well.

Eammon, how was your visa run? Sorry, but that job was long gone - a little too good to be true/hold up. If I find a good one, I'll let you know.

Regards,

G.

yeah, I was just looking for threads from this time last year.. there was a really long large Halloween thread that was really good. It was pre-party and post-party. But unfortunately it seems to have vanished or been deleted.
