| No matter what any of you say, Canada has the best beer, hands down (okay, okay, Belgian beer is the best, Canada is second). Either way, Aussies, Americans, the Brits and anyone else alike need take the taste/potency/fresh test. The real lovers will always apprecitiate the best. Canada!!!!!!! (Labatt and Molson do not apply) |

Have you ever tasted Molsons???
I would rather drink Hite that had been sitting in the pig shit for a week baked in pig shit and sunlight than drink Molsons .
Canadian mainstream beer is the worst, well alright, USA beer is weaker than cats wizz. |

1. You're both idiots.
2. Molson craps all over Hite.
3. They're both garbage. |

now i did say i liked monteiths, oh and i forget about macs gold, red etc. great beers, i do concur. but all our main stream beers, imho, do taste like cr@p. the botique brewers though must be given credit for occasionally bringing out a nice drop. especially the summer ale from monteiths. now i would drive a few hours do get that in me! but definatly no for aussie piss! |
I concur MACS gold is probably one of best..

Absolutely! Molsons does suck as does Labatts, I thinking more about Sleemans, Moosehead, and Keiths when referring to Canadian beer. Also, yes, for many reasons I may be considered an idiot. |

Sleemans, Moosehead, and Keiths
Sleeman's-One or two drinkable ones. Can's stand that Honey Brown crap.
Moosehead-Owned by Labatt's. Pretty good, wouldn't serve it to friends.
Keith's-Utter swill. Always hated it, always will.
Drink Blanc de Chambly or Fin du Monde, Upper Canada, Vancouver Island, OK Spring (Yes, I know. Owned by Sleeman's) or, of course, Big Rock. I miss Tall Ship. (Pints on me for anyone that remembers them.)
When at home, why drink industrial? If that's what you want, go German. Tall cans of Beck's or the wonderful Koenig Pilsener will make you forget all this Moosehead nonsense. Clausthaler, Veltins, Bitburger. C'mon. How about Full Sail and of course, the incomparable, Sierra Nevada. I love Canada, but you're just being silly. Samuel Smith's. Duvel. Murphy's. Pilsner Urquell. The list goes on.
By the way. Big liquor fest, Yeouido Stn. Exit 5, Sat. night. W40,000 all you can drink Microbrew. We have 40,000 litres. No joke. Let's see what you're made of. |

XXXX is BUTT, and here's the proof. One of the main ingredients is cane sugar, which is used by cheapo breweries who can't afford to simply add more malt to the grist. And, the alcohol content of XXXX is not high, so "increasing the kick" can't be accepted as the excuse for this affront to beer drinkers.
There are plenty of good beers available in Korea, if you know where to look. Hannam Market near Itaewon is a good place to start. Our Carrefour carries Pilsner Urquell for a remarkable W2500 a pop. Guinness draft cans for W3500 (bottles are more). Negra Modelo (one of the best and probably the most underated beer out there) for W2500. Tsing Tao is less than W2000 and it's also underated. Most folks don't know it's a brewery started and overseen by Germans, and if I gave you a blind taste test you would choose it over Heineken, Becks and Warsteiner, guaranteed.
The true beer revolution will have arrived in Korea when we have access to tasty gems such as Rogue Ale, lambics from Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Anchor Steam, and Fat Tire. |
