thanks for the help. imma wait to hear back on these 3 other jobs which are closer to where I would like to be: jamsil, songpa and apgujeong in kangnamgu. what area would you recommend for the best night life? i dont mind going to bars, but i really enjoy clubbing and going to places with trance, drum and bass, jungle, all that techno music.

Now saying what I said ( Wink ), I live in Songpa-gu right now, very close to Jamsil stn., and in general, I find it to be one of the nicest areas of Seoul, by virtue of the fact that I'm sandwiched between Seokchon Lake and Olympic park. I'm also practically on top of one subway line and convenient to two others.
As far as nightlife goes? I haven't lived here long enough to really know the deal, but it's convenient to Sincheon (not Sinchon!), which seems to have plenty of nightclubs and nightlife. I also don't think it would be an expensive cab ride to get to Gangnam or Apgujeong from here, but haven't made the trip yet myself.

i guess i am a little picky as far as what area i want to go to. im just nervous about moving and want to pick the best possible location (if that is even possible). it seems that most everyone is saying that no matter what location i choose in seoul, everything is within reasonable distance through public transportation. and whoever posted the comment about sacrificing a good job to save 20 minutes from getting home from a bar, you're correct. i just over think things. i should focus more on the job and then the location. thanks
