A New Motorcycle Accident!, The fault is always the foreigners!
I was the safety driving instructor for Greyhound Bus Lines for 10 years, retraining accident prone bus drivers.
I was traveling in my lane, and a semitruck to my left found out he needed to get into the right lane to exit to the freeway. He turned into me pinning my motorcycle under his truck, until I broke free. I went skidding and somersaulting under the truck, as he continued to turn into my lane. In the end , he ran over both my feet with his rear wheels, breaking one ankle and many feet bones. I went into immediate shock, and was transported by ambulance to a hospital for a costly operation. And to top it off, I was blamed 80% for the accident, and the Korean truck driver got 20% blame!!!! He was 100% at fault! So much for justice for the "way guks."
I am now fired from my job because I am in a wheelchair, and about to be evicted from my apartment, and they are prepared to throw me into the parking lot with a blanket and a wheelchair.
In 5 years in Korea, I have been treated with nothing but kindness, but this last incident really has given me a different outlook at the society and standards they follow.
Be careful on your bike! I am soon to be homeless, but at least I am alive.
by way gook salami

Ouch! You always seemed to be one of the more content posters here, I hope you manage to overcome this very big setback.
Fingers crossed something comes up quickly. |

Sorry to hear about your accident.
Contact EFL law asap. They cannot legally evict you from the apartment without notice.
Also if you have been at the school for 6 months or more they do have to give you 30 days notice before canning you.
Contact a lawyer, who said you were 80% at fault? The cops? Demand an investigation that is done properly! They cant just assign fault without a proper investigation. Were you interviewed? Dont answer any questions until you are not under the influence of painkillers! |

I thought you means safe, as in safe from crime.
I think streets here r safe from crime but definitely not from accidents.
I am sorry to hear. I agree, contact the labour board and efl law, and see what can be done. |

I don't think Real Reality had an accident. It's some guy named 'way good salami'. Says so at the bottom of the post. Good old cryptic R.R., he's like Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Safest place to be on a motorbike is the extreme left lane, opposite of 'the law', which says stay in the right hand lane. But a 125cc is stuck in the slow, right hand lane. Not enough ruhm ruhm. |

...an average of 21 people died from traffic accidents each day. An average number of 474 accidents took place every day, in which 606 people were injured, the yearbook said. Last year, a total of 240,832 traffic accidents occurred, in which 7,212 people died and 376,503 people were injured.
Drunk driving is also a major issue. Last year, cases caused by drunk driving took up 13 percent of the total accidents. A total of 31,227 drivers had their drivers' licenses canceled or were put behind bars for drunk driving last year. "Compared with other OECD member countries, South Korean drivers pay less attention to traffic rules and pedestrians. That means South Korean drivers are less aware that their driving can kill not only themselves, but other people," an Road Traffic Safety Authority (RTSA) official said.

The really real reality is that no one has ever been injured in a traffic accident here except for the two girls the U.S. Army ran over on purpose. |

Which of course means that 87% were caused by sobriety.
Now, if all those 87% sober drivers would stay off the roads and leave them clear for the 13% of us who are drunk, the roads would be a much safer place! |

Almost had a front-row seat to a fatality at 8:45 one morning this week. Taxiing to work & a clueless schoolgirl decided to jaywalk on a blind curve. Sharp driver almost sent me through the windshield. He shrugged it off but the stats surely include pedestrian stupidity too. |
