I just read it on their site, seems current.

http://www.arirangtv.com/english/about_us/job_opportunity_read.asp?no=3&read=914&page=1

I would apply myself but I don't speak "perfect" english as per one of the job requirements! Laughing

Ability to freely translate from Korean to English is going to cut a lot of people out ...

having worked in the american radio industry before i came to korea, i applied for a similar position like this last year at arirang. i was asked for an interview, but never got a call back because i couldn't translate their radio scripts into english.

who uses a script on radio???!!! (other than news radio???) i guess that's why the DJ's sound like robots when talking. liner cards yes, scripts no. also, i think i wasn't korean enough for arirang either. Shocked

If it's suppose to be an English station...why then the need to use or read korean?
If you hire someone...be it a teacher/doctor or radio announcer...let them do what you hired them to do! You're paying them. Don't "micro manage" I say. They/ businesses, have parameters and if the ratings fall...change the person.

I think some of you good people should apply for the position. I'd be willing to bet that many of you have faces made for radio.
