My Korean wife certainly did not marry me for money. She could have done a lot better for herself if that were her highest priority. We support ourselves. She earns less than half of what I earn, and yet she almost NEVER asks me for anything. And when she does, it's only ever a small amount - the highest ever being 30 000 won so she could treat her friends to lunch. Honestly, I've never given much of a crap about money, but she gives even less of a crap than I do.

I'd be appalled at the suggestion of a dowry from my gf's family: that *beep* kills women.

I told me gf that she'd never be rich with me because I do not pursue wealth. She said--as matter-of-factly as could be--that there are no happy rich people. Nice.
