I am not married to a Korean she is Indian. I got to show her the mountains in Alaska, American style portions in fast food places (supersize me!), going to the movies American style with the massive buckets of popcorn. Shopping at walmart, a load of other things. Now she has to show me India....well actually i have to show her Philadelphia....GIno's steaks YUMMY!!!  |

Now there's a topic I was wondering about...
I've read so much on here about meeting, dating, and even marrying korean girls, but I've not seen anything about meeting, dating, and possibly marrying girls from other ethnic areas who are also in Korea. I rarely, if ever, see an Indian girl or Phillipino girl or Indonesian girl, and I should, because I live in Daegu where there are a lot of textile industry factories.
I have been here over a year now, and have maybe seen two ladies that are East Indian, and they were both with husbands. So, where does one go to meet the beauties of the near east (well....near east in European terms as opposed to far east, but actually far east is near east now because I am in Korea, and near east would be actually near west from here...oh, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!!!)

i'm taking my husband home in about 3 weeks. he lived in canada for 2 years already, so he got to see some stuff, but he was mostly studying hard during that period.
-he's never seen a real christmas tree (we're going to decorate it! yay!)
-fireplace
-christmas morning with the fam.
-his first turkey dinner
-we're going to tour some areas near me, like niagara falls, niagara-on-the-lake, and toronto.
-we're going to halifax to visit some relatives and have new years! ringing in the new year properly in a maritime style bar!
there'll be more, no doubt, but these are the things i can think of now |

Why is it such a big deal? Didn't you get fingerprinted by immigration here? |

Um, no? Did you? And I didn't say it was a big deal, just wondering. I saw in the paper today about it taking 1-2 months to isse them and two visits, one for fingerprints. |

They fingerprinted in Ulsan but not in Daegu now that I think about it. Did the paper say why U.S. visas went from 1 visit to 2? You'd think they'd be streamlining the process rather than adding steps. Homeland security paranoia I guess. |

I think here they keep your finger prints on file after your first contract, so you don't need to get them done again.
As for what I'd like to show my guy if I brought him home:
The sunrise over Cape Spear in the morning.
Around a twenty minute drive out of the city, on this lonely twisty little road that I love to drive on, and then that. Sometimes it's worth getting up early. |

yeah, it is a big deal. to avoid the "big deal", my husband and i opted to connect in vancouver on our way to toronto rather than in the states. i don't remember all the details, but it was something like a couple interviews or something, just to make a simple transfer. |
