Nicely done - reminds me of uni days in the comm dept.
Guess we will be bumping into each other around town on a regular basis!

Not sure if I'll make the Kiss party next weekend or not.... got a TON of student videos to work on in the next few weeks. I'll post those when they are done. Some of them should be funny.
Thanks for the comments. |

| There was a glitch in my open where I edited out a mistake, and hoped I could cover it up enough, but no. I said, "Wornplay.com" on accident and didn't have time to reshoot since I looked like hell by that time of night. I wanted to get it out in time to advertise the Kiss Party, but yeah, you're right on. It's there and drives me nuts!!!! |

Good to put a name to a face.
Nicely done, hope we can see more of these cranked out.
Is that suit really yours? :)

The suit?
Yeah, I have that for the occassional trip to the local singles bars so I can make the Ewha girls think I'm a rich businessman. The best part of the gig are the fake BMW keys I make them promise to hold onto so I won't drive home (since I rarely drink and wouldn't think of driving home -tonight since I've had a little to much). For good measure, I have two airline tickets in a Thai airways envelope (expired of course) that I accidentally "drop" out of my pocket. Of course that helps me out with my story about how I have an extra ticket for a 3-day weekend later in the month (frequent flyer miles cashed in from my monthly trips to Europe). It'd be a shame if it went to waste.
I have to tell when they asked why I'm not married, that I almost never dated because I'm so serious about the software company I helped start. I also add that lately I decided to slow down because "something is missing" in my life. I don't have anyone special to share my life with and I've suddenly realized that all I want to do is be there for someone special.
Oh, and I can't forget to use as much Korean as I can while telling her that my current ambition is to become fluent in Korean in less than a year because I plan to spend the rest of my life in this awesome country (between leisure flights around the world, of course).
No, I don't do this, but I've often thought how easy it would be to get lucky night after night on that story -- given how superficial some people are in this country. *laugh*
Sometimes i think it's all about living a fantasy until they dump us anyway. *laugh* |

| Nice work. The party looked tragic though. Get excited about some skank stripping down to lingere? I don't think so. That's not talent, that's just pure hyped bs. |

Yeah, to be honest, I was left wondering what was the big deal about her keeping her suit on. I think those who knew about it expected more because in her promo photos and video, she took her top off. I suppose it can all be chocked up to Koreans could have gotten the bar in trouble some how.
Bare shoulders are a big thing for people here, I suppose. |

That girl is SO VAIN
http://nancylang.com/
One look at her website, and you can see that her visual creations are little more than folly to get you to look at her, interesting at first, but her central, slightly S&M theme never seems to change, the visuals are little more than goth record covers. It's a shame, there are such good artists in Korea, performance and otherwise, that deserve much more attention than a girl just willing to get her kit off in a nightclub. My mate had a girlfriend called Paula, who was always pulling her paps out in clubs, the only difference is, she didn't call the press in advance.
Still, I suppose life isn't fair, and at times I think "Thank God for that."
Looks like a nice party though. Everyone dressed up nice. |

Yeah, she seems like the ultimate in vapid emptiness, the triumph of style over substance, a person whose art is so lacking in any fundamental appeal that she has to put more effort into promoting it than actually making it ... she herself is more important than the art ...
"Hey, buy this childlike scribble, the girl who did it is hot!" |

Definately understand your comments about her.
But the interesting thing is that it gets people to look at her art where perhaps many would have never found reason to view it before. Though we might scoff, we view it and give it an opinion.
She is definately thinking, "out-of-the-box" when it comes to promoting her art. Not saying that how she does it is right or wrong, but I'd bet most people would call it lame, wrong, or otherwise.
I am really curious to know what her parents and former classmates think, however.
What other artists or people (good/bad artists) can you think of that shocked us in some way to get us to be interested in them or what they do? |
