Anyway I went to Sasha and he was acers, the guy on before him was class too. big big crowd, good atmosphere, great music..roll on Jazzy Jeff next week! |

| Dammit, I guess I should've posted the website links for the actual party when I wrote about that.... They're on the flyer I got, but it's at home, and I'm at work... Maybe later if no one else does it. It said something about the set being recorded for "Essential Selection in Seoul" or soemthing like that, too... That and the 10,000 people thing sorta stood out. Anyways, I'll try to find the link for the actual party later on.... I know the flyers have the info for ordering tix, etc.... I've already got my gf and a couple friends into it, so it looks like I've gotta plan... It sure beats the last couple of New Years' I've had here. |

becuase down in korea mate we dont get many options CHEESE or HANDBAG doesnt matter he is famous he is a pro and he has rocked some of the biggest events in the world not to mention a resident at ibiza
for essential sundays..
pete tong is a headliner DJ.. so why isnt that woth getting excited about?

Depends how you define class I suppose, as far as musical and creative class goes, I don't see him as any better than a Friday night DJ in Hongdae. Pretty much anywhere. I don't know where that guy got his reputation from, he's the 21st century Smashie and Nicey to me. Him and that tosser Seb Fontaine, who I saw at Cream a few years back, bloody crap. It was back to the Metalheadz tent after 10 minutes of him.

Pete Tong is cheesy on the radio, but he's hardly going to be saying
"We continue.." every five minutes when he plays live. The guy's been doing it since 198whatever, I'd imagine he's one guy who would know how to make 10,000 people dance.
I hear Seb Fontaine used to be pretty weak, and he's cheesy on the radio too, but honestly he was quality at M2 this year. |

Well, actually I regret missing Sasha, I saw the Northern Exposure shows a few times back home, and no other DJ (except perhaps Jeremy Healey) has made me feel quite as emotional as Sasha did.
And after all I've said about Pete Tong, if nothing else, I can imagine the place will be absolutely packed with skantily clad Korean game totty, so I'll give it a thought.
Were there any GI's with glow sticks on string at the Sasha event? If so I'm bringing my machete if I come on New Years eve  |

| I didn't see any glo-sticks, but PM Tobacco were handing out glowing wrist band things and lots of people were making stuff out of them. Pretty cheesy, but they did help to disguise the piece of white paper I managed to pass off as a wrist band for the VIP balcony. |

| Infusion are also playing New Years at M2. They're an electronic group from Melbourne and get rave reviews for their live shows. My friend saw them recently in Auckland and said they were awesome. |

Anyway, I got all confused. I forgot Sasha was at M2 and had it in my head he was at the Sheraton Walker again (as he was about 3 years ago), and I went to a gig at the Sheraton last year and it was rammed with GI's with glow sticks on strings. I was ready to kill by the end of the evening. |

Oh I didn't think you meant that, I was just saying that surely you aren't suggesting some GI's occasionally break curfew? Anyway I didn't meet any and there was no room to swing a glo-stick anyway so those voices in your head telling you to kill should've been controllable.
