ID the song from which the lyrics come from, then post your own.
If you can correctly ID two songs, post two new ones.
If youre able to get all three, post three new ones.

Hopefully not too obscure, please include the year. Here are some Ive had rolling around in my head for awhile:

1. A man comes on and tells me
How white my shirts can be
But he cant be a man
Cause he doesnt smoke
The same cigarettes as me...

-1965

2. In the place up above, you grow feather wings
And you fly round and round
With a harp singing hymns
And down in the ground, you grow horns
And a tail and you carry a fork
And burn away....

- 1970

3. All the friends we used to know
Are an illusion to me now
Some are mathmeticians
Others are carpenters wives
I dont know how it all got started
I dont know what they do with their lives...

-1975ish

Oh, please include the artist, too.

Good luck.

Kiwi boy, 2002 is beyond my time. And Im only 26.

I have no idea who this booty man is.

Post another one, because you got two of mine.

Does anybody know who this booty man is?

The Booty Man is none other than Craig David I think.

I'm not sure of Badmojo's other song but I'll post lyrics to one new song:

1.
Easy, ready, willing overtime
Where does it stop, where do you dare me to draw the
line
You took my body, now you want my soul
Don't even think about it, say no go, yeah
2003

anyone from Daejeon around these parts?

2003? As far as I know that's a Hall and Oats song called "I can't go for that" from the late seventies ...

Good job Kiwi. Its confirmed. I cant go for that, Hall and Oates.

Thats two to you.

And still, no one knows my second one? Ill give you more:

On top of the sky theres a place where you go
if youve done nothing wrong (if youve done nothing wrong)
And down in the ground theres a place where you go
if youve been a bad boy (if youve been a bad boy)

Why cant we have eternal life and never die?
Never die?

-1970, first track from a very famous live album.

I didn't notice but it had got very dark and I was really,
Really out of my mind.
Just then a policeman stepped up to me and asked us said,
"Please, hey, would we care to all get in line,
Get in line."
Well you know, They asked us to stay for tea and have some fun,
Oh, oh, he said that his friends would all drop by, ooh.

1971

This shouldn't be too hard, it's from one of the best selling albums ever...

Ok.

One summer evening, drunk to hell
I sat there nearly lifeless
An old man in the corner sang
Where the water lilies grow
And on the jukebox, Johnny sang
About a thing called love
And it's how are you kid, and what's your name?
And how'd you bloody know?

.... and a rove and a rove and I'll rovin' I'll go for "a pair of brown eyes"

Pogues
===============================================
(who did that song first... it seems older, but they may have changed some lyrics?)
===============================================
Here's one:

...with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt,
and the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad
so I had one more dessert,
then I fumbled through my closet, through my clothes
and found my cleanest dirty shirt.....

(I think this song is at least 20, maybe 30 years old)

I dont know what that is, but I might as well have wrote it. If thats not me in China trying to get it together at 8 in the morning to teach my class, then I dont know what is.

Thats a good one.
