Hey, I want to teach my kids some Christmas songs. I want to burn some to disc, no luck through Google or the search here.

Any knowledge to be shared? Laughing

Jingle bells Jingle bells Jingle all the way... I know it won't sound like that when my kids sing it but hey... Wink

Download any Shareaza or any other p2p program, run a search, and download the files you want. Simple as that.

If you want some suggestions, try finding anything from the muppets, sesame street or loony tunes, there are some great Christmas songs there. Last year, I taught a bunch of classes, "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas", "All I want for Christmas is more more MORE", and some others... fun xmas derivatives which the kids loved.

BTW, don't try teaching your kids to sing Jingle Bells with a sore throat. Neutral

Yeah, except that you now have to register with them to be a Kazaa Lite user AND, they log your downloads so that someone can nab you later on for the "illegal" downloads which you have completed.

Why do you need an mp3? Just pass out the words and sing. Very Happy

Haha well I'm no entertainer. That's part of my overall problem... but that's for another thread where I will cry myself a river.

And I only have one class where they might be able to understand the words... I might try Timberlake's Cry Me a River.

I tried doing the lyrics only thing yesterday, they can't read. I did the lyrics and song today, they can't read nor understand the chipmunks Jingle Bells song. Neutral Their level of English is not so hot. And I am a not so hot English teacher.

Side note, wtf there's actual fruit in this fruit drink! When I drink OJ I don't expect to choke down half a slice of orange. Laughing

Try something like Rudolf the red nosed Reindeer- that they already know the music for. Either that or the Twelve days of Christmas( with pics), Deck the Halls ( leave out the bit about "gay apparel") something with a lot of repetition. Use the music too, cause it's a really great aid to memorization.

I used K Lite to prepare a song/video lesson last year...what is better to use?

Use Shareaza, it links to several P2P systems, thousands of servers, and also runs torrent support. With kazaa, you can only get more sources for a download from Kazaa users but on Shareaza, can find more sources from Edonkey, emule, ABC, Gnutella, and a lot of others... get it, you won't regret it... download it here

I went to E-Mart last night and found 4 Christmas CDs. One is Bing Crosby/Frank Sinatra. Another is the Vienna Boys Choir. The Third is some generic choir group...the Yuletide singers or something. then the 4th is a club mix type CD. all of them were under 6000 won each. Just go and look. You'll be able to find them cheap, or tapes if you need them.
