I don't think you know how or when to use quotation marks. Either that or I keep missing what you're trying to say (this is at least the second time I've seen a post from you where you've used quotation marks seemingly inappropriately). I think you were resonding to Koreabound last time too..... |

Thanks for the punctuation advice. I put the word "superior" in quotations in reference to a remark made by that poster that Canadians are superior to Americans. In which case, given that there are Americans who can speak with their co-workers in Korean, surely a "superior" Canadian should be able to as well.

Actually, I'm really not trying to be a jerk, but wondering why you were trying to be a jerk -- in otherwise conflict-free threads. I didn't know that you and the OP have some sort of inside fight going on.
Now that I know, I won't let things like that bother me.
And yes, if you're wondering, I DO have too much time on my hands and I AM very bored. Thank god this purgatory will end in 2 weeks, and then I won't concern myself with such things. Good news, eh? |

At my old hagwan, I may have earned more but I definitely worked more. That's beside the point. If a foreign teacher is called to a meeting, and it's just in Korean, somebody there SHOULD explain to the foreign teacher what's going on. It's just good manners. |
