Have only lived in two homes that were generally susceptilble to indoor moulds. Both were carpeted and neither were in Korea. Where I live now (in Korea), I've only seen mould growing on one wall (in a strip running just below the ceiling) of one room. It seems to be growing beneath the wallpaper and leaching to the surface. I'm going to strip the paper, let it dry, maybe treat it with something, and then repaper the area. If this is being caused by moisture getting in from the outside, then this could be a bigger problem than I'm prepared to tackle alone.

White vinegar (heavily diluted with water) is a handy household solution with a thousand & one uses, and very worth googling. One of those uses is not, however, splashing on chips as far as I know. That's malt vinegar.

White vinegar (imported) is one of those things I just know I've seen in some likely and unlikely shops around Seoul, only to return later to find: (a) it wasn't what I thought it was, (b) it was what I thought it was, but it's sold out, not replaced, and no clue as to when they'll restock it, or (c) I "saw" it in some weird flashback dream where I'm in a Western supermarket (like those in Tokyo, Manila, HK, KL, Singapore, Shanghai, etc.) that's been magically transported to Seoul.

P.S. Oh yeah, use a dehumidifier for moulds year-round, and in summers along with a fan to make a place more habitable.
