I wear a lot of skirts to school as a way of being a bit dressier. I used to dress a lot more formal (business type attire) but the clothes were getting ruined as I have chalkboards. I wear jeans on friday occasionaly but they are alway accompanied by a dress jacket.

Officially at my school we're not allowed to wear jeans or t-shirts, but lots of teachers do anyway. I wear t-shirts as often as I can get away with it because I've found I actually teach better when I feel more comfortable, and I've never been able to get used to dressing up.

Even though all of the other teachers dress in jeans, etc. I wear business casual. Why not? I bought the dress shirts, might as well use them. I feel good looking professional.

Besides all I really have besides dress shirts is t-shirts and I'm heavily tattooed. Hehe

I walked behind this guy the other day.
A homeless guy asked him for money.
He looks right at the homeless guy and says why don? you go get a job you bum.
People always say that to homeless guys like it is so easy.
This homeless guy was wearing his underwear outside his pants.
Outside his pants. I? guessing his resume isn? all up to date.
I? predicting some problems during the interview process.
I? pretty sure even McDonalds has a ?nderwear goes inside the pants policy.
Not that they enforce it really strictly, but technically I? sure it is on the books.

Currently I am wearing jeans and sweatshirts, but I think I will be switching to sweat pants in a few days. I work in a hogwon, and I do not have to dress formally (but wish we did because some of the teachers come in wearing clothes that look they were slept it) But it is so cold in the school, I am thinking of buying a heater just so I can carry it from room to to rooml. (we do not have our own class rooms). I freeze, and so do the kids. They also tell me they keep on their coats in their schools also because there is no heat. I know oil is expensive, but if I get too sick I can't teach. Yesterday I was so cold I would not go to the classes on the third floor, I had to bring the students down to the second floor (we have 2 floors) In the summer I was complaining about how hot it was, and now I am shivering. Not a good way to teach.

I wear dress pants and usually a casual knit top of some sort. Sometimes I wear a skirt, but I have to sit on the floor a lot and run around with the kindy kids so it's not really practical to do so. I used to wear jeans because my boss did, but she stopped doing that and none of the other teachers wear them, so neither do I now.

Strangely enough, it says in my contract that I am to wear dress pants or skirt and a school-provided "uniform shirt" --but no such shirts exist, apparently. Oh well Very Happy

I dress up for work. My coworkers do and so I do. I don't mind any teacher I have had has always attempted to look professional (minus a couple of grad student TAs) However it has led me to wonder why the hell they give kindie kids oil pastels. I mean honestly, do you have any idea how hard it is to get that stuff off hands, clothes, tables, walls, glass. My 4 year olds just figured out that if you color your hands you can make great handprints everywhere Rolling Eyes One day I was washing my hands looked into the mirror and noticed a nice purple hand on my shirt tails

Usually jeans and a sweater in the winter. Jeans and polos or t-shirts in the summer. My boss is happy as long as we're clean and presentable. Male teachers aren't supposed to wear any earrings/noserings/etc. No one tests the limits.

I don't really understand teachers who say they get more respect from young students when they're wearing formal or semi-formal clothes. The respect I command is independent of my clothes. This was obviously different when I was teaching biz english (though I often wore jeans and t-shirts for that once I'd gotten to know my students well enough).

Wearing a suit is incredibly uncomfortable but I wear one to work almost every day.
