Last spring, I gave my hogwan 2 months notice that I would be quitting if they didn't start paying me my overtime pay. They said, "Okay, okay," but then ignored it. I brought it up a couple of times over the next 2 months, but they never paid me...when the 2 months was up, I told them that I was leaving as I'd given them the required 2 months notice. The situation wasn't that good in the first place, so I think I was just looking for an excuse to leave.
So, I would like to come back and begin teaching again, and I've been in contact with a school that I really like. My E-2 visa would have expired in September. Is there any way that my school could have blacklisted me for quitting? For instance, could they tell someone that I was just a runner and get me blacklisted - if there is such a thing?
I'd appreciate it if anyone has knowledge they could share. thanks |

Hardly likely you would have a problem...
Besides, in the unlikely case it was possible...you would know when the blue form was requested...move forward and ignore your fears... |

There are also links to blacklists on www.englishspectrum.com but I think they are all about foreigners detailing their problems with the schools.
Do the owners/directors have their own lists of "teachers to avoid," perhaps on Korean-only sites? And how many owners/directors would be aware of these, on the chance they do exist? |
