I applied to teacher's college back home for both Primary(K-6) and Senior division.(7-12)

My problem is, I am having trouble deciding which level I would prefer to teach. I have tried to think of the positives and negatives, and I am still torn.

How did you decide? I was hoping to find some sort of online assessment quiz, but have had no luck.

Maybe the university will decide for me, but if I am admitted to both, I don't know how I will choose!!!

I thought middle school was my favorite, but a few years of teaching Korean middle school kids cured me of that! Now I love kindergarten. Go figure! My license is K-12, so I don't actually have much advice for you.

Can you volunteer in a few classes at each level and see what clicks?

I have had experiences working with both levels. I enjoyed both! I just don't know what I want to commit to!

Too much time on my hands, thinkin too much!

I chose to teach k-6 because I really wanted to teach a variety of subjects. I wanted to be grade 6 teacher. You get to teach math, English, geography...everything. And the six'ers still like to learn. Unfortunately, I never got a job in a primary school as I went overseas again to pay off my debts. But if I return to Canada...I would still like to be a grade six teacher...

I like k-6, especially at my current job. They don't yet have the attitude problems they do later. They are also more eager and excited about learning at that age.

I am not sure if this is still true, but when I got my K-6 qualification it was possible to take additional qualification courses to get your 7-9 and 10-12....you just needed to have teachables in your undergrad and then take the courses after you graduated. It might also work the other way..get your high school qualification now and then take an additional qualification later for the younger grades....

Well, if you like them both, think about the other side of the issue: Which one will pay the most in the long run? Which one has more job security/freedom (whichever you prefer)? Where are there more jobs??
