Although I'm no "Real Reality", I've done my fair share of complaining, so I thought it's only fair I post about something that many may not be aware of.
Recently, the Korean Human Rights Commission has been running a rather slickly-produced PSA during prime time, which shows a series of South Asian/Southeast Asian faces under each of which is displayed a Korean name and citizenship identity card. Toward the end of the PSA, a voiceover intones something like "We are also Korean. . ." and a message appears that reads "When you only notice the differences, that is discrimination". |

Is this the one you mean? |
That's it...I didn't remember the voiceover exactly.
It goes like this:
"My name is Bae Ki-cheol. I am a Korean. Just because my skin color is different, people say I am different from them."
"If we acknowledge our differences, we can see a world without discrimination". |

Yep, that's a good commercial. I wouldn't mind being on a commercial like that but I haven't gotten Korean citizenship and the only Korean name I can think of for myself is ̸ŷ (). |
