What's up with all of these battle sports on the sports channels. Nightly, I see WWE, K1, boxing, etc.
Everyone knows that students love 'em. Any Koreans you know into this stuff? |

If I had the connections...I would sign up for K1/UFC in a heart beat!
Korea has just started their own K1...and I went for an interview but was told ...only koreans could fight koreans in the korean K1 league. No reason given why. But I would say this....koreans don't have the strength to take on the big guys in the K1/UFC. Never have seen many koreans fight on the K1/UFC fight cards and the ones I did see lost every fight.
What's the fascination with it in korea? Just like elsewhere...people like to see fights, blood and broken bones!
Tae Kwon Do does not stand a chance against K1/UFC fighters. I know three koreans who have entered the korean K1 league and faught in seoul. Money is not great. Million Won for first place...but...one has a chance to get into the big leagues if they prove themselves in the korean league. |
