what do you mean by "done"? and what do you mean by "and then nothing"?
do you have msn messenger installed on the computer from which you're trying to access hotmail? if so, then that's where the problem lies (i'll explain further if your answer is 'yes'). if not, then i don't know what to tell ya. |

Yes, I do have messenger installed.
It loads up as if its gonna go to my inbox, and then instead of my inbox showing, I get a blank screen which says Done on the bottom.
Please HELP! |

well, i'm not sure if you're having the same problem that i was having, and posted about a few days ago.
my problem was that my computer would freeze up on me and eventually display a debugging message after a minute or two.
i googled the problem and discovered what it was.
it had to with microsoft's new integration of hotmail and messenger. simply put, when you try and log in from the hotmail website, both hotmail and your msn passport account are trying to access your inbox simultaneously. this'll cause your browser to freeze and display a debugging error message.
the only people that this seems to be happening to are the ones with:
-windows xp/2000
-latest version of IE as the browser
-msn messenger installed
-the upgraded hotmail accounts (ie. after the 250mb upgrade)
thing is, there is no solution to this. my only advice is to log in to your inbox through messenger, for now. it never freezes up on me when i do it that way.
but i'm not so sure that your problem is the same as mine. the symptoms aren't similar... |

Problem solved!
I don't have your problem.
I can now access my email by using my Netscape browser, not the default browser....
Can you tell me why this might be happening? |

I have had similar problems in the past, and they seemed to work themselves out within a day.
Do you run on XP?
I once did a Google search on re-installing Internet explorer. There is a command you type from the run prompt for that, and you have to have your XP disk. |
