'niche'
cool word i only learned it this year.

well mine is okay but im having trouble finding it completely. im looking into counselling work which i think would help me. i have the feeling my pursuit of this will ultimately make me leave korea after the end of my second year. just wanted to know what everyone was up to and what your niche was i guess and how your enjoying yourself

Um, what he said!

Really, hockey's the only way I can stay here and maintain my sanity without becoming a booze fiend...

... But I do that sometimes, too.

WHAT THE FFf...?

Okay, either Moon & the Grl are actually quite good buddies.....

.... or there's one damn scary pile of posts lying around somewhere that I never saw.

No, I don't know Osangrl personally -- but this picture did come up in another thread once and was labelled Osangrl. Wouldn't have brought it up, but she did just insinuate that I and others on this board look mentally challenged. All in fun, all in fun!

good question...thats what buggers a lot of people up over here...cant find there groove or carve there niche...i was like that a bit in my first year and as a result resorted to some heavy boozing...that was merely a phase though...something you snap out of...so my niche...well im 6 months into my second year and i guess i've got a bit of a niche carved...of course theres work...try to enjoy it as much as you can...kinda hard if you don't like kids...i like being a bit of a clown and hamming it up in class so work isn't to dreary for me...then you need some kinda exercise...whatever...gym/walking everyday/martial arts...whatever you want to do...then trying to keep your brain from going stagnant...learn some korean...or pop into WHAT THE BOOK and pick up some good reads...just don't idle away the hours watching tv...it's a brain killer...of course i do watch a bit but say you have sky life satellite tv...that can really suck you in...then theres socialising...make some buddys...go out and get messed up on the weekends if thats your thing...or go to church or whatever...just don't keep yourself to yourself too much...and voila!...your niche is carved.
