|
|
A friend is thinking about taking a job with a Christian themed hagwon and we were discussing the merits. I find where business and religion intersect, religion usually gets used in the service of business far more than business is used to further a religious end.
To wit "We're not going to pay you this month and before you complain ask yourself what would Jesus do?" And the school's president takes a month long trip to Europe.
One hears some bad stories here and my friend has heard her bad stories. But of course, no one ever hears or remembers the good stories.
So. Anyone have a good experience? |

less class time because of prayer and songs. Thats about it.
Hagwon is a hagwon unless your stuck teaching a bible class or sumthin. |

I would personally expect little to no difference. I think you're just as likely to get screwed by a 'religion' based hogwan as a non-religous one. Things may be different academically but the secular world has no monoply on corruption. |
