My school's reimbursement policy is similar -- they insist on seeing both the ticket & a receipt from the issuer. I think its because its hard to determine from the ticket alone how much money was actually laid out.
I havent bought online exactly but I have paid by bank transfer -- that receipt didnt satisfy them. My travel agent was happy to oblige with a faxed receipt that showed the agent's name, company name, & contact phone number -- that worked. (They mailed me a hard copy too just in case.)
If you bought direct from the airline, I'm sure they'd provide the same service. |

Tell them if you want me to come you are going to pay this amount _____. If they do not agree to it before you leave, come anyway find a different place to work. There are too many jobs out here! If your ticket is a fair amount this should be no big deal. |

The company may want to charge it as a business expense. Try what Chiaa said and if they insist on an invoice just contact the company you bought it from and ask them to send you one. It shouldn't be a big deal. As for a 'stamp'....what's that all about? What kind of stamp do they need? |

Yeah they are trying to get it as a business expense but they are also trying to make it difficult for you to get your money. If I were you, this would be setting off all kinds of alarms in my head and I would think twice (only you know the picture of the entire situation though). |

Its the minimum to ask for an invoice when reimbursing something like a plane ticket....
You could like Chia said and threathen them but that might not go over very well when all they are asking for is proof of purchase for your plane ticket.
This is not an unreasonable request and too many teachers coming here seen to think everything is owed them and that they should not be asked anything.
Any business with an iota of common sense would ask for this invoice on a purchase as important as a plane ticket.
My advice: get an invoice sent to you from S.Air, bring it with you to Korea and be a professional. |

The stamp thing that they might be alluding to, is from their own tradition. Those small, round Korean red stamps that they often use to certify contracts and official documents. Someone probably translated someone's Korean into English, verbatim, without omitting the reference to their own custom. |
