camp korea (at chungcheon) contract runs for a little less than a month at 2.1 million won. it goes for most of january.
The Korea Economic Daily News Camp is 2 weeks long (end of january into february) at 1.7 million won. they claim to offer an additional 1.4 million if you stay for both camps. 40 hours of work per week in total.
they pay for everything except airfare and visa fees.
is this a good deal? |

Those camps are reasonable. The amount they are paying is middle of the road. Some paye more, others paye less. At those camps you will get payed, and that's a big plus. |

which ones pay more?
and how do i know this camp or any camp is legit and that ill get paid? i feel a bit insecure buying a plane ticket and going over there for a month. with a shorter time period to work, it feels like they could rip me off more easily |

Will those camps require you to get a C4 visa? That's a good indication that they are legit. If they take the trouble to do everything right in order for you to be here then they will paye you when you are through. I see that you could possibly do a camp that runs into February. If that's a continuation of another camp., you could insist on getting paid for the one camp before starting the next camp.
Many camps are having a hard time getting teachers here in Korea to fill them, so they are bringing in teachers from abroad.
I had to turn down a camp because i had some problems. They paye 3.5 million won for a month, and they are legit. here is the phone number iof you want to call him. They are looking for teachers desperatly, and they are legit. 001-82- 0333427571 Mr Ganse. Please call him quick. His camp is run by a former Government official, and runs for the month of January
His email [email protected] |

they say they'll send me the documents for the C4 but i have to get it myself. seems standard practice to me.
thanks a lot for the info and for the contact. ill get in touch with him very soon if this other camp falls through which might happen. they've suddenly given me different and lower salary figures than before which stinks because they dont pay airfare. |

Hi if you are interested in another camp that is paying W4,000,000 for the month try emailing [email protected]. It's at Changshin College at Masan. Person to contact is Carol Kim in the tourism english department. The camp will run for a month in january, and is bonafide. They need more teachers. If anyone is interested. E mail her.
Her telephone number is 055 250 1277 |

i emailed her and that camp is intense! 9-6 monday to friday, 9-1 on saturdays and 7-10 at night once a week. im new to the world of english camps but that sounds hefty to me. its W4mil but they dont pay airfare and ill probably pay an arm and a leg to get a ticket to seoul at the 11th hour like this. then again im sure that camps that pay airfare have lower salaries... |

My friend's working a 12.5 day camp, minus the weekend in the middle, for 1.5 million. She worked the same camp before, and it's apparently nothing too intense. If you're interested, PM me. |

That camp at Masan is intense, but the hours are reasonable. Others for the same paye work from 9AM to 9PM for 5 days a week and half a day Saturday. If they are well organized and you see the kids enjoying themselves then you don't mind the hard work. It's grueling, but rewarding because everyone from the mentors and bus drivers to the camp director have done their part. |

we'll see if it works out. ive sent the director my documents but im skeptical that there'll be enough time to get everything organized with the C4 and whatnot. but i guess if the camp wants me as a teacher that badly they'll understand that its the 11th hour and help me get things done faster |
