Jinro wins award for best restructuring
Jinro Ltd., Korea's No. 1 spirits distiller, has won international distinction for its restructuring efforts while getting a value boost as it prepares to conduct one of the nation's most high-profile auctions next month. International Financial Review, a global financial weekly, on Wednesday commended the distiller of soju, a rice-based wine, with the IFR Asia-Pacific Debt Restructuring of the Year award, applauding the company as a rare success case where creditors, management and workers all benefited from the complete restructuring of a company under court receivership.
