My current job is giving me two months worth of paid vacation over the winter, starting next wednsday...I have never worked a job in my life that has given this much time off, I have already paid off all my recuring debts and I live in a fairly isolating part of the country. Having said all those things, does anybody have any suggestions about something worthwhile I could do that would take up ample time during my vacation period? What would you do with two months off?....

With two months you could do a pretty nice jaunt through SE Asia.

You've hit the jackpot adventureman.

If I were you I'd start in bangkok and just work on down into Jakarta over a period of a about a month.

Wish i were in your shoes.

I'd find some more work to do. Two months of double income is a beautiful thing. Wink

House in northern Canada, forest all around, my G-parents old place. Power's on to keep the plumbing from freezing, so I'll also be keeping the place up. Study Korean and a meditation course. Probably work on boomerang making since Finnish birch plywood is available here, unlike Korea, and cheap (16 Can bucks for 5 by 5 foot panel), read. There are lots of really good books here at the parents place, like 'Memoirs of a Geisha', Farley Mowat books, Graham Greene's Brighton Rock, and so on. The two months up there starts after New Years. Bears, deer, porcupines, squirrels, northern lights, deep cold, no computer which will be a jolt.
