|

The tv that came with my apt is attached to a heavy black cable that goes from the tv out the window to god knows where. I assume it's for cable tv. However, it's all frayed and the wires are exposed and broken, and I need to get it replaced. Where can I get a new one, and how do I get it installed to whatever it's attached to outside? My landlady doesn't speak English. |

I'm pretty sure all you need is a standar co-ax. You should be able to find one at any store, but it'll probably have to be a long one. If you need to make a connection, you may need to get adapters to mate the ends. It's not too hard.
But if you need help, just have a co-worker call the cable company and they should be willing to come out and fix it for you no problem.

Ugh, I hate this about COAX cable....
Buy a pair pliers for Cutting and Crimping COAX, then just cut back a few inches and reconnect.
That or call the cable company and have it done. With all the time you might waste finding what you need and doing it, you might as well call them or something. |
