Just type something in to the search function. This is like one of the most overdone threads ever and you should be able to find something.
Thank God you're not asking where to find a Korean girl in Korea... |

Be more direct here. Trying the "language exchange" tactic might back fire. Many women take that at face value. "Oh a chance to have a coffee with a foreigner and practice English." Not saying you should be like "biatch, if you're not going to spread on the first date then hit the road." This is a culture where it's not uncommon for a guy to propose marriage after three dates and the woman accepts! Korean women are less freaked out by a guy being more direct with what he wants.
There's another theory that you should hang out at clubs in Hongdae and hit on anything that moves. Play the numbers game. The worst you'll get in terms of rejection is some giggles.
I prefer the tactic where one becomes a fixture at your local Starbucks. If you see a woman reading the free International Herald Tribune, try striking up a convo with her if you're not too scary.
I went shopping at Dongdaemoon with a Korean-Kiwi friend. Every now and then one of the women working at a stall would ask her about me in Korean. "Oh who is your friend? Is he your boyfriend? Where is he from?" If you have a Korean female friend, you could get her to pimp you out this way. |

Use the search function, and browse the forums. In general, girls are the same all over the world! Expect the same nonsense here than you do at home. |

However, rapier, derrek, and tiger beer still may have some decent suggestions. |

This thread can be nice if it stays on the topic of "how to date K girls" and doesn't decend into the usual "what I like about K girls" and "I never date western girls anymore because K girls are so much better" rubbish that we often see ...
I would say that K girls are quite comfortable with being talked to by strange men, and they're not going to bite your head off, even if they are not interested they'll be polite. So, fire away, just start talking, anywhere and everywhere. Of course, some will simply not even respond, but don't worry, just carry on. Good places, Hongdae and Itaewon at night in the bars and clubs, and Kangnam coffee shops in the day. Also don't forget book stores, especially in the English section, then you know she can speak a bit of English, I recommend Kyobo bookstore in Jongo. Also, as another poster said, get freindly with as many K girls as you can, even if there's is possibility to date, as they can introduce you to other potential dates. Start with your workplace, secretaries etc. Don't try to date them, just make freinds and go out for dinner, great way to slowly to start to integrate into the society a bit. Some dissagree, but I say never date co-workers. It's just not professional, and she has all the power to ruin you if things go sour. Plus there are so many other options, no need to mix work and pleasure ... |

Well Kiwiboy, you can approach pretty much any woman in North America if you do it correctly.
I don't see why talking about the pros and cons of dating korean women is rubbish... could see why some people would find it offensive, but then again what isn't these days! |

heheheheh.
When you find a hot one, with half decent English, she will be thinking "free English lessons, but no way am I sleeping with this guy." Nevermind that. Be cool, but persistent. And during these 'free English lessons' slip in some western liberal propaganda about gender equality and all that crap. Make her think in the west the hiararchy goes Woman/then dog/then man. Enough subtle brainwashing and she'll start thinking marrying your dumb arse will be a free ride to do as she pleases. Then you meet the folks, make a top impression on them with lots of polite Korean language, all the while acting up how cute and shy you are... just like a good Korean son in law. If there's a Hyung-nim, get in good with him... hopefully he likes a drink and to practice his English too... but always drink politely with the Chung-in-oden (turn your head away to sip your drink), or, if possible, don't drink around him at all.
So now you're in sweet with the in-laws. The K-girl's warmed to the idea of having a waygook lap-dog. So you marry her. whoopdy... But just remember. The day after the honeymoon. Pull the plug on all that western-feminist propaganda you been feeding her. Hell no she ain't doing watercolours and hiring a maid. She'll be on her knees scrubbin' a way every minute she ain't fetching a beer or doing the washing. And when she starts whinning to Chung-mo-nim.... hahahahaha... the mother-in-law won't give two hoots for her little white guy marriage fantasy: this is the real (Korean) world. The only danger will be Chung-in-oden, as he still thinks she is his little princess... but he's probably so old he's go no power anyway... if your in sweet with Hyung-nim, all's good.
Just be prepared to eat very, very salty food the rest of your days.
or, be a loser, like me, forget to set all the 'Korean' ground rules right off the bat, and spend the rest of your days a broken, broken man... |
