I've downloaded a couple of movies that are in Spanish but have English subtitles. The problem is that the subtitles won't play and seem to be stored in a separate file with a .sub file extension. How can I get them to play? Do I need a special program to play .sub files? (I'm running XP home edition)

yeah you need to get a subviewer player..

I use BS player try that ,,

then you load the sub file and the movie into the player..

Do a search for vosub, it is a little program you install. I think you need to restart your computer after installing it.

Then, as long as the .sub file has the same name and is in the same directory as the .avi the subtitles will start automatically.

It's not a blazingly obvious program to set up, but it works fine for me with winamp and mediaplayer.

That BS player worked fine, thanks. Thanks for the other suggestion also.
