Anyone know how to do it? I think Yongsan Station is just a subway...

should I hop in a taxi and say "bus terminal joosayo" or go somewhere I don't know about on the subway?

well you could take the subway to the express bus terminal or the east bus terminal. It might be faster from the east bus terminal to Gangneung because it is on the edge of the city and doesn't have to put up with as much traffic.

I don't remember the name of the subway station for the Eastern Bus Terminal, but I do know it is the first one on line #2 north of the han river (at the east end of the circle obviously).

So if I get in a taxi in front of Yongsan Station and say bus terminal, will the driver laugh and drive me for 40 minutes and charge me like W100,000? Hehe.

I've always gone from Express Bus Terminal. From Yongsan, depending on the traffic, it shouldn't take too long by taxi. You could also take the subway -- it's on the orange line one stop north of ����.

well you might want to indicate WHICH bus terminal you want to go to. "Gosok bus terminal" is the express bus terminal "dongbu bus terminal" is for the east one.

It really wouldn't cost that much for a taxi from Yongsan to the express terminal.

why yongsan anyway instead of any other station? Live by there?

Bucheon Bum's advice is right. Likewise I forget the name of the subway station but many of the subway maps also list Dongseoul Terminal in parenthesis under the name & I think its mentioned in the subway announcement too.

Just follow the crowds out of the station & across the street. As I recall the Gangneung ticket counter is right in front of you from the entrance to the terminal & the departure gate is equally handy. Buses are frequent. Piece of cake.

The bus to ���� would likely be from either the Eastern Bus Terminal (����) or the other one in ��� (sp?)

I doubt it would go from Yongsan, or from the express terminal.

I was able to get my ticket to ���� in Gosok Express Terminal, cost like W17,000. And traffic sucks.
