I am not a teahcer of English so one for the experts. This from the BBC threw me:-
| Quote: |
| Occupational psychologist Sherridan Hughes, who owns career counselling service Careermax, says many people who come to them for advice from big banks and law firms are fed up of impossible workloads and long hours. |
I always believed that one was "fed up WITH something". Which is right? With or of? |

It is fed up with.
Fed up of sounds like Konglish to me. |

| Yes to me too, and let it be said, somewhat "low-life" and that's why I was so surprised to see it in a BBC article. |

The BBC's collective level of grammar is really deteriorating. |

Maybe it's American?
I'm doing what many teachers here seem to do when they come across something that sounds a bit strange - 'Oh, that must be British English'. |

| That's even worse than 'should of...' instead of 'should have...' |

Nope, not American. We use "fed up with" as well. |

I did a quick Google search of "fed up of" and I came up with "I'm fed up OF Donny Osmond....".
To me, that's wrong. It's poor grammar. If you substitute "happy" for "fed up", you'd NEVER say "I'm happy OF her". It's always WITH. |

That's from the contraction "should've", I'm sure you know.
Another one is "alot" ---- written too often. |
