I'm newish to the whole torrent downloading thing and still don't really understand it. Anyways, I downloaded Shareaza and BitComet and started using torrentspy.com after suprnova.org shut down. I like BitComet better than Shareaza and prefer to use it. I was using it just fine until I seemed to have done something and now all my torrents go to Shareaza when I click on them (they used to go to BitComet). Sorry to be so vague, but I guess I don't know what I was doing right in the first place, let alone what I'm doing wrong now.
Summing up: How do I get it so I can chose which program to download the torrents with? How can I get things to download with BitComet again?
Thanks for any advice. |

Correction, Shareaza has a setting which will bypass the 'save as' command.
If you would rather use another client, just go into the 'preferences' section of Shareaza and uncheck the box designated for making Shareaza your default torrent client. That being said, Shareaza is an excellent program and if you use it a bit, you will discover that when you refresh a download and "find more sources", you will get sources on your torrent from your torrent tracker file as well as other P2P clients such as gnutella, ABC, Edonkey, etc. meaning that you have a much larger pool of sources to download from. I would pesonally just stick with Shareaza but, to each their own! |
