So my kids enjoy games with a ball... cuz you get to throw it.

I've done going through the alphabet, doing words that start with each letter of the alphabet (throwing the ball around the room doing Apple, Bear, Cat, Dog, Elephant etc).

I've done spelling (one kid starts with the ball and says a 1 sentence hint and says the first letter of the word, the gives the ball to his teammate to say the next letter... and back and forth).

I've done making sentences, each time a kid catches the ball he/she has to add a word to the sentence.

Are there more easy English games to play with a ball that I am missing here? Please let me know... empty searching. Feel free to link me if I missed something in a search.

one I have used is:
ask a ? throw the ball to student they have to answer it and then ask a question of another students and so on.

You can also use a ball to practice colors, shapes and textures:

Toss the ball to someone and say: Tell me something that is pink/round/smooth/hard etc.

I play ball games with things that go in a sequential order.
Months, Days of the week, numbers (great way to practice ordinals, and "pattern counting" counting by 2, 5, 10, 100 etc.) I find it a decent way to help practice words that are useful but you aren't going to be saying a lot in class.

have the students stand in a circle. Give them a target sentence like I want to . . . or I'm going to . . . the students say the sentence and pass the ball to the next student while you are counting to 30 or 20, or however long you want. When you reach 30 the student with the ball loses. Go until there is one student left.
