|

It's been well-established that Costco's website maps are useless. So when I went to Yangjae station I brought along their phone number and the actual address. Well, no cabbie knew how to get there, they just hung up when they heard the English coming at them over the telelphone, and trying to walk in the general direction proved fruitless. So I gave up and went bowling. But I still want to go there.
Doed anyone know the best way to get to the Costco from Yangjae station? |

Not sure, but I know you can see it from the road if you are driving North from Bundang to Seoul. |

Went there for the first time last week. It isn't really near the station. Its near the Yangjae intersection heading out of the city, a little bit past the park that is there too. |

Take a bus or Taxi heading south on Kangnamdaeno (i.e. in front of the bus terminal building.. landmarks for this side of Yangjae stn. are BK and McD's). Go past Yangjae Citizen's woods and Yangjae flower market. You should be able to see the Costco sign 2 blocks to your right (south).
more to follow... I'm checking an online map...

You've got to take the 08 bus going south. It's really far away (on foot) from the subway station. I walked there the on my first trip... A looooong walk.
Like I've said before, there is no sense of scale on the maps. If you check it out on some Seoul Map website, you'll get a better sense of how big the area on the map really is. |

Exit 49 if you're driving on the highway. |

I'm looking at the Costco right now actually. My office is in Jangjae, and from my desk I can literally turn my head and look directly at Costco.
I know that bus 11-3 goes directly there (Blue) or you could always take bus 400 to ڵ and walk there (only 5 minutes)...This is a tricky area though. Take the wrong bus and you could easily end up in the boondocks (Bundang actually). |

You can also catch 4424(green bus), 11-6 going towards Gwacheon(away from Gangnam) the bus will go straight and then turn right and you'll be able to see motorway. You'll see big Costco building on your right get off at the bus stop after you pass it. |

|

Costco's Yangjae store can be found about half-a-kilometer west of the intersection of GangnamDaeRo (GNDR) and YangJaeDaeRo (YJDR).
To get there from Gangnam, head South on on GangnamDaeRo and continue driving south of Yangjae Station and south of õ (Yangjae Stream).
At the intersection of GNDR and YJDR, you'll see Hyundai/Kia's 25-floor corporate HQ building, which means you should turn right on YJDR (heading west for 500m). Then, you'll see Costco on the right-hand side of YJDR. (p.s: Parking in their built-in parkiing garage is FREE!)
Good luck! |

I have had 2 experiences where taxi drivers in Yangjae do not know where the Yangjae Costco is. They wanted to take us to the one at Samseong instead. |
