Lets make this the place where smart ass people who are already in Korea can make fun of people who are asking questions because they need help. Additionally, comments can also be made here when insignificant typing, spelling, and grammatically errors occur. If I post on this board I dont feel I should be on my guard all the time, lest I get flamed for a spelling mistake.

My real question is this. If you don't have anything productive to add to a thread, why are you posting your bullshit answers? I don't want to hear it, I don't think others do either. Youre certainly not making any new friends that way.

If you want to be some kick ass old school ESL teacher in Korea who talks down to people who may want to walk the same path, than I don't want to hear from you. If you think your being witty, well I disagree. I don't know you, you don't know me, and until that happens I would not encourage posting behaviour as I have seen it by some people.

For others who post helpful information, I sincerely appreciate your help. As do others I am sure. As I understand it, the purpose of this forum is to help each other and share information. I know I've learned a lot already from a few positive regular posters. And I'll say again, thank you.

To the rest, take it somewhere else because your not helping.

Haha, I'll take the blame for this one.

Welcome to Korea. You had best develop a thicker skin, and not just for internet discussion purposes. I learned that a long time ago.

You just finished saying that this is the place to make smart ass comments. And you incorrectly used "your" again. Whoops.

As if newbie-bashing doesn't happen in all the other threads?

Confused

I understand the sarcasm and I understand the anger - and, I applaud the impulse.

By the way, who do you think you ARE, coming around here telling people how to behave who've been on these forums since they started and who have PAID our freaking DUES here in the wasteland that is known as Korea ... HUH? Who do you think you are, you farking newbie, you!

(Just doing my bit - sarcasm, anger, and a little irony thorown in as lagniappe ... )

All i can say if this is what makes you angry wait until you get here.

You are going to have a very hard time with all the staring and comments behind your back. well, to be honest it isn't that bad.

You will have to develop a much thicker skin though. Smile You are in the minority, not the majority now.

Why is a newbie starting a thread about bashing newbies? A newbie is not even allowed to use sarcasm like this for the first month. Laughing

I like fresh newbies. But I prefer to wait until March to pick them, when they're in season.

Mmm... fresh newbie...

Ask, and ye shall receive....

(Some people on teh intarnets are jackasses, but don't get deterred by that. They're everywhere, and you're certainly gonna meet a share here, too. Regardless, I think a look around the board shows that the majority of people here are willing and ready to help without judgement. Oh yeah, and the search function works wonders, too)

If you are fresh from the decadent West, then you are already the enemy of the veterans on this board who have been converted by the wisdom of Confucius.

(This is the best idea for a thread I have seen in a long time!)

I'm out of Tomato Sauce. How am I supposed to enjoy my cheese on toast... Oh. Newbies smell.

Don't worry about it... Look how long I've been on this board. Does it really matter? No. Does anyone take into account the wisdom that I Peemil have imparted? No. Does anyone read what I post? No.

Being ignored around here is easier than falling off a log. Mind you- When you slip up. Capow! Your carcass is being paraded in front of all to see.

Just as a bit of advice... I reckon you be careful of the Blind Wille character- Always a smart arse answer for everything. Or be like that Jordan chap. Everyone likes "A Dude Named Jordan." He disappeared for a week and then everyone is asking where he is.

"Where is Jordan? Anyone heard from Jordan?"

Oh and remember... You should pick someone and rag on them. That gets you attention. That Pudunoby, or whatever really likes to rag on me. But I in turn rag on DW. So the world is evenly balanced.

Balance. That's what it's all about. And Tiger Beer and Just Becauses' avatar. Short skirts and other stuff. Don't argue with Rapier or Kiwiboy. They've got too much time on their hands and can post ten times before you even think about heading over to Google.

As for the others... Well. I'm just waffling...
