Recruiters are useful to help you find a job. Don't ever pay them, and don't expect them to help you if there's trouble. Regard them as a live version of the want ads, and you'll be fine. |

The recruiters are only after one thing, the fee the school pays them to find you. So long as you realise this and don't expect anything more from them, you're fine.
As for the schools...where are they? That might help.

And...NEVER EVER agree to pay the school who hires you....the recruitment fee if you don't last the year. Many schools are slipping that into contracts in some form.....if the school is lazy enough to have to use a recruiter when so many teachers are available...don't expect the teacher to pay for that service when all fails. |

I wonder: Are there more people looking than work available? |

I sent People Recruit my photo and resume and a message saying I was interested in a job they had posted. I never heard back from them at all. The only other recruiters I have gone through are Koreana Teachers Club. I'm working with them right now and they have been communicating frequently and have brought me a good job offer in less than 2 weeks. I'm looking for the contract soon.
My last job in Korea I got without a recruiter.

I do not have any intel on these companies..... but there are other recruiters that are complete scams and cons.
Maybe 70% of them are money grabbing machines who will set you up with jobs that you do not want.
It is better if you go fishing yourself! |

I finally did hear from People Recruit, after I already signed a contract for another job.
