Sam, of Orange, is the front runner for this scam. He hires you and scams CIE out of recruiting fees ~1,400,000 Won and then CIE scams you by firing your sorry arse before the 10th month so they don't have to pay you a bonus. They come up with excuses like you have developed an accent or the students complain about this or that. It is all bullshit. Students complain all the time, even in the best of circumstances. Yet legitimate complaints against management go unheard.

Take the little monkey they have who is the new director at the Suji campus. He is the biggest ass-kisser of the lot. A nazi if ever there was one. I think his name is Dewayne or Dewane. Whatever. He is a short little fucker who thinks he is in charge. He kissed Myung-ki's ass to get a 4,000,000 job. What a loser.

It really was that bad. I don't know that I would use that sort of language, but I worked at CIE and I was cheated out of pay, too. It is so common there that it is digusting.

Only 25 percent of the teachers who start their contract there finish. That is a fact. You can check with immigration if you don't believe this posting. Sure certain teachers make it through, just as long as the kiss ass or moolah English when it is their turn on the spit. This is the butt end of the English language programs in Korea. They lie, cheat, and steal their curriculum from Princeton Review, Longman, and the like. Total thieves! They lackeys who work for them are true arse kissers!

Your recruiting agency seems to want to cover up the truth about a terrible institute like CIE is. You secretly hope that foreigners are treated like shit so that you get another commission. Poor unsuspecting fools. Avoid this recruiter and CIE! LIVE LONG AND PROSPER. KOREA IS FOR KOREANS ONLY!!

The Migeum campus crowd seems like they all will survive...dunno about the other campuses though.

EDUORANGE is trying to hire for CIE as their dream job....

This job is like an Iraqi booby trap. Be careful of where you step.

Unless things have gotten really bad since I finished CIE Migeum in July 2004 I'm not sure what the OP is talking about.

One thing true is that they are known to fire teachers for stupid reasons. Ask our posters iicalypso and Coulter about that.

It's a hagwon prepared to do anything to maximize profits. Thats for sure.

As for the recruiter. The guys at Eduorange do lie a bit about the job. They told one older man I worked with that he would be working with the creme-de-la-creme of middle and high-schoolers. When he arrived he was put into an elementary school campus teaching crazy 10 year olds. He sure was sore about that for a good 5 months until they moved him.

They didn't offer me a second contract because I stood up for myself all year and complained about stuff. So yes, they only tolerate submissive teachers.

Actually, I'm changing my verdict on CIE. Before I said despite some bull it's still safe to work there.

Now I would say avoid the place.
