Apparently the shop is still open.
I emailed the owner and I recieved a prompt and fluent response.
I will check out the shop this weekend.
Note: Some of the games would be useful for teachers and the prices are pretty good. Check out his website. |

Nice guy, small shop, good prices.
I picked up W.O.D. and V:TR.
Prices are US spine price converted into won. |

Where were YOU when I was in Korea? I think I even put up a similar thread.... no replies Have fun everyone.. I need to find a group in Canada. Playing w my ex and my son, now, which is cool. My Palladin just got to lvl 11. But I need to play MORE and with people who don't start crying or have to run to the bathroom when Dragons talk really loudly or when there is the possibility of encountering undead. |

I still have all my dice somewhere.
I think the best part about playing AD&D was rolling the dice.
Seriously. Except rolling those d6s... ho hum
Favourite dice to roll was the d8s. |

| Again, if anybody wants to play email me ([email protected]) or PM me. We've had a lot said on this forum but no action (except for Panthermodern). If you want to play, we can play. |

I'm interested but you'll have to give me a month or two. I still haven't completely settled down. Moving again next week, and I'm looking for a better newspaper gig than the one I have now.
How long are you staying in Korea, displacer beast? |

Not overly surprising for any who know me, I was a big D&D guy. It was really one of the first things that got me 'into' English, and motivated/helped out a whole slew of other education-related BS.
I stopped back with 2ndEd in Uni, but we had 2 guys who were writing their own campaigns - not just the module stuff.
What all do I remember? It may be a stretch, buuuttttt:
D&D/AD&D
Gamma World
Boot Hill
Tunnels & Trolls (geared heavily towards the solo player)
Traveller
Space Opera
Rune Quest
Call of Cthulhu
and probably a handful of others, as well. Meh.
Nice link here from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Role-playing_game Wonder who else should be on that 'famous players' list? Probably a fair number of rock&rollers from the day . . .
If you live near Osan/Song-tan, there is a VERY dedicated group of V:tM players who used to play out of the now-defunct ChickenHeadLab; I may be able to put someone in touch, if they are interested.
As for me, I have sorta just gone back to novels & computer versions. WoW is fulfilling that little fix nicely for now.
Nice thread - thanx for the flashback.
Regards,
G.
PS ~ Yep, SW, you DID have a thread like that - there were only a few interested, & we couldn't work out a time or place. |

| I'll be here for quite some time (more than a year) so I 'm always available to start this snit. So, bard (i.e. the reporter), contact me when you want to play, or beforehand to hangout- same to everybody-afterall D&D or V:tm or even illuminati are social events, we should all hangout to see if we'd get along. |

Our gaming group is bringing our current Torg campaign to a close shortly and have started a discussion on what to play next. Some of the game meentioned were Adventure!, Star Wars d6, D&D, Classic Battlestar Galactica (using the EABA system), and Exalted.
We'll be playing in the SHinchon/Hongdae area... our current schedule has us gaming on every other Sunday.

Hi, fellow gamers.
I'm ready to start up a weekly or bi-weekly game.
If anybody's interested in a TimeLords campaign (time and/or dimensional travel; read below) or an Aberrant campaign (termed "gritty supers" by Universalis, which is not too far off the mark, but I prefer to class it as "realistic supers" in the spirit of the comics and graphic novels such as The Dark Knight Returns, Kingdom Come, and Rising Stars).
Please PM me if you're interested, or join the RPG gamers in Korea Yahoo group (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/rpg_gamersinkorea/) and contact all of us who've already joined up.
From www.btrc.net
TimeLords. The Designers developed time travel to help them escape the heat death of the universe, but instead found extinction in the distant past. By a twist of fate, humanity inherited the ability to manipulate their technology, for better or worse. Everything you know about history has been shaped by those rare individuals who can Jump through time and dimension. And now, unprepared for it, you have become one of those individuals... |

Have a good friend who openly worships her too, she was nearly an olympic swimmer for Oz you know! Gotta say she shouldn't have treated Tim so badly though!! |

Olympic swimmer? Not surprising... afterall she IS the female Brian Boitano.
That would Brody Dalle do,
If she were here right now?
I'm sure she'd kick an a-- or two.
That's what brody dalle would do! |
