My director has given me a couple months worth of ginseng tablets for a New Year's gift. Since I've never used it and don't know much about it I did some reading and found that some doctors say that you shouldn't take it if you are under 40. Does anyone take the tablets? Is this total under 40 business total hogwash? |

I've never taken ginseng tablets but ginseng tea is excellent if you have a stomachache. Try www.webmd.com. They're pretty trustworthy. |

I have a bag full of ginseng candy if anyone wants it. It was a gift. I tried one, and the awful taste stayed in my mouth all day, no matter what else I ate or how many times I brushed my teeth.
BTW, I took ginseng pills a few years ago because I was lethargic all the time and heard they were supposed to give you pep; but I felt the same after a few months, so I stopped taking them.

ginseng affects your metabolism, heart rate and nervous system.
if any one of these things are already running at a high level ...ginseng is not for you. |

Ginseng is one of the few Eastern tonics that has been proved to be effective.
It works. Don't ask me how and don't ask me for a link. I'm not Real Reality. |

You're not supposed to take ginseng if you have a 'warm' body (according to chinese medicine).
Ginseng is also not recommended if you have high blood pressure, but red ginseng should be ok...
That's all I know... |

Anyone here been to Guemsan?
Small town about 25km South Of Daejon,
It's the Ginseng Capital of the world.
The town has 1 Lotteria, a couple of barber shops and about 500 Ginseng shops
The smell of the stuff is everywhere!!
I tried a Ginseng shake at the Anuual Ginseng Festival, oh man that was yucky!!
Spent my first year in Korea there, not much to do there, but a pretty little town |

That chewable stuff is good if you are stuck outside for long hours on a cold night. Otherwise... what for? |

I love ginsing. Korean red ginseng is perhaps the best in the world. I drink the tea on a daily basis. I used to eat the tablets, but they are usually too expensive to buy. Your director gave you a very nice gift.
Ginseng gives me a lot of energy. It is better than caffeine and cleaner on the system. I am told that it might be unhealthy if you have heart problems. Many Koreans won't take it during summer time. I swear that it heats my body up internally. I especially like it during winter because I don't need to crank up my heating system. Perhaps this is why ginseng is considered an aphrodesiac by many.
... however, the best aphrodesiac for me is when a women just says, "yeah, you can go for it". |
