I'm in Busan with the extended family for the holiday and after going to the beach a few times I've run out of stuff to interest my one-year old daughter. Plus I'm kinda bored, myself. There's a limit to how many times you can run to the corner store for your MIL before going stir crazy.

Anyone have any good ideas for stuff to do? We have a car. We're in Haeundae-gu.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Go to Dongnae and nearby there is a cable car that runs to the top of the hill and a big kiddies playland and adventure park set-up.

Also just outside Busan going north in the town of Tongdo is Tongdo Fantasia which is Ok. Also the big temple Tongdosa is also there.

Just do what Koreans do with little kids. Take them to the bar and let them throw tantrums, take them to restaurants where everyone sits on the floor and let them go exploring to other people's tables, take them to the supermarket and drive them around in the shopping trolley - in the trolley itself, not the baby's seat, of course, and make sure that whatever they do, they do it loudly.

Jeez... the poster's just asking for a good place to take his kids ..he's not asking for one of your 'incredibly witty' observations about Koreans.Save them for a different thread.

Well, somewhere in the b-grade humour there's the point that little kids are given a lot more licence in Korea than some other places, so you can let your guard down a bit and not have to sequester your kid to the McDonald's playland. Of course, if it's a western kid acting the way they let their own toddlers carry on they'd probably find it incredibly disturbing.
