teachingld2004: It's true about the 3.0 and it includes housing! not saying where it is but if you pay attention to the job board and recent forum topics you'll get an idea i'm sure
and as a matter of fact, they did meet me, so you're right about that I suppose

margaret: housing is single and furnished and vacation is paid -- for all

i didn't get offered the uni job, just curious on where it stands if i did Laughing
all the others are for real. i didn't realize they were that good that they'd be INcredible!? i only looked for single housing, no splits, kinder, etc., so maybe it's just good timing i have. i did wear a nice suit to the interviews
Wink

I have to agree with the others. Your ultimate choice depends on your motives and wishes. I can, however, give you some info on Suncheon. I lived there for 6 years and it is quite a nice place. Send me an e-mail if you want specific information.

I can give you some specific info on the Wonju job, I work at that very hagwon. Only 2 more weeks though, I scored a fantastic job today. The job in Wonju is cool. The director is very nice and she is good at her job. The money is pretty good for the amount you work. The overtime rate is good (30,000 /hour). I think most would agree that is fair. The teachers that are staying for another year are cool. Some of the ones that are leaving suck. So, that's a plus for you. The only real downside is living in Wonju, it's not a cool place. Other that, I can't say much negative about the job. I hope you enjoy my students if you take over my classes.

Hey Mini D
Just reading your post and your sweet job offers. Curious, are you in Korea and do you have previous ESL experience?? I have been searching for a few months and although have had a few offers, they didn't have as much vacation etc. I am not in Korea. For those of us who are still looking, any tips on the job hunt besides Daves??? Also have you decided on which one you are going to take?? I may be interested in the left overs as might others.

Best of luck!!

I'm headed to WOnju in 2 weeks, and i keep reading about how much it stinks. Very inspiring . .. . could you give me a rundown on the place? What makes it stink so much?
