Okay, Here goes. With an F-2 visa, you are allowed to work at two seperate institutions. However, I am about to sign a contract at a university. It states in the contract, that I am not allowed to work at another intstitution. I have a job offer from a public school which has offered to give me a schedule that works around my Uni hours.
So, my dillema is not a moral one.
Legally I am entitled to work two jobs. I am wondering if any one knows, if I have to get a written letter from my university, or can I go to Immigration with the other schools conttract and simply not tell anyone at the university?
Remember. This is not a question on the morality of working two jobs and offending the University, it is a question of proceedure only. Do I have to inform the other party? |

I dunno, but you can try giving them a call. The # is 02-2650-6223 (or 6224,6225,6226) Might be a good idea to ask for the name of who ever you speak with. |

I would like to know the answer to your question as well. When you get results please post them here - positive or negative. |

Your university has to write you a *release* letter to say that your working in another institute will not affect your work at the university.
Last year I was working at my husband's company and an old friend opened a hagwon and asked me to help out. I did, but I had to get a letter from my husband to say that it wasn't going to make any difference to my work performance at his company.
I was told that it is actually really difficult for them to issue a second job permission because normally they only give out second job permission if you are in a desperate situation and that you would be destitude if you didn't have this second job. My friend was not paying me a huge sum and I was not working many hours, so they begrudgingly gave me the second permission to work.
Good luck to you. |
