Failure Evil or Very Mad

The Korean consulate refused to put their stamp on it. They told me that they can only stamp notarized copies of my original university diploma, and that the letters from the office of the registrar stating that I have my diploma are not acceptable.

I'm going to apply for jobs anyway and send that letter in lieu of a diploma to immigration. Let's see if that works.

If anyone here gets different results from different embassies/consulates in Canada, let me know.

I'm telling you man, pester your Uni, not the Koreans. You can get your degree if you really push it. You won't get a Korean to see reason (for your sake).

You're barking up the wrong tree.

I got my degree cert. yesterday, after being screwed around by my uni for weeks. They apologised a lot. I was happy.

Hum, that's encouraging. I think I'll go into my uni tomorrow and this time demand to speak to the dean. I need my diploma and I need it now. Public school positions start the first week of March and time is running out! Mad

University letterhead.

Don't feel bad Sagemonkey, you were trying to help. Good samaritan laws should protect you when I sue your ass for wasting my time Wink

I'm going to send it in lieu of a diiploma to my perspective employers. I'll let everyone know if it passes immigration.

I think I've been oversease too long. The first thing I thought was: Why not just slip some baksheesh to the registar to give you your penchant earlier? Wink

Let them know that they will cost you a job if they refuse, man. They will recognise the potential troubles this poses for the uni. The admin chick said they got a new printer in early so they could print mine - and they think they're pretty sh*t-hot at my uni.
