| You need the .cue file for it, some programs can sometimes create these, then you need to mount the image using something like Daemon tools or burn it onto a disc of whatever type, you should then be able to access the content of the binary file. |

I've put it onto a disc but it still reads as a bin file. |

Did you just copy it to disk? If so, then yes, it will remain a .bin file.
.bin files are images of disks. From them, you can burn a CD-ROM or whatever the image is of. You can fuss with .cue files if you want, or get a program that supports .bin file burning, such as MagicISO.
From the burning software, you need to select "burn image". from here you can make the CD. If you do need/want .cue files, do a google and you will see examples of them all over the place. They are dead simple to make in notepad. |

Man...what is it with people assuming that everything is a video file?!? Or is VLC player now an image file converter as well? Real swiss army knife, eh?
But sure...go ahead...associate all .bin files with VLC player on the machine...pretty rich to see it choke on a "Need For Speed CD1" file.
I have never seen a video file in .bin format, aside from an SVCD file, but they are so awful, they barely qualify as video. |

Use BIN2ISO to convert it to ISO and then you can extract the files with winzip or winrar to your hard drive. |

Why convert it to .iso? .bin files extract the same way, as they are actually the same type of file, just with a different extention.
So similar, that they can often be renamed from .bin -> .iso without a hiccup.
Anyways, winrar will extract both formats. |

I have it as a shed load of winrar files. How do I change it from that? |
