Are you teaching kindergarten in the morning, and then doing this other lesson like five hours later?
Does your contract not say anything about scheduled working hours?
Unless they made this class fit your schedule better I would refuse to do it. In any event I would expect extra pay.
It probably only fits into your contract under some clause like "other duties as assigned by the director". I would think your contract spells out working duties and hours appropriate to kindergarten.
My current job is very fair about what they schedule me for, and any duties that are outside of normal time I am compensated for. My bosses are good people. |

This class is only an hour later than the kindergarten classes, and only twice a week. My actual teaching hours are not listed in the contract, which is a loophole I'm sure the director thought of! My employees are nice enough, but they definitely try to get the most for their buck in everything they do. It didn't bother me until they asked me to do another private lesson for the cafeteria ajumma's son -- that's when I started feeling like it was kind of shady and like I was being used a bit. Anyway, we'll see what happens when this kid goes back to school in March....
Thanks! |

Just a quick Hijack here, E2 visas are for one year, E1 visas are for two years (I think, and if true who is the idiot who set it up as E1-2Y, E2-1Y), but what is the validity of and F2?
As for your situation, if it is at the school adress on your ARC it is legal (I'm 99.9% certain), I would even wonder if it is legal in the home upstairs if it is the same building, and your work permit address is for the building.

Hi there. I got my F-2 in August and it is valid for one year. I believe that the next time (or the time after that?) the validity will be two years, but I think it is partly up to the discretion of the immigration office. If anyone else knows for sure, feel free to correct me (but do it gently, especially if it's you, D.W.) |
