Teachers Needed: Seoul (Kangnam-gu)

Job Description
Participants will teach English to first through sixth grade students at selected Kangnam City elementary schools. Classes range from 30 to 50 students. Having flexibility and creative freedom in designing the curriculum, teachers will supplement provided textbooks with their own individually tailored lesson plans and creative materials such as American books, games, activities, and songs. Teachers also may assist in extracurricular activities and teach English to Korean teachers at their school once or twice a week.

Program Details
A commitment of one semester, which lasts approximately 4 months. The Fall Semester typically runs from Sept 1 to Dec 18, and the Spring Semester from March 1 to July 22.

1. Participants will teach approximately 4 hours a day, Monday through
Friday, totaling 20 hours a week.
2. Days off include weekends and all national holidays.

Compensation and Provisions

1. A monthly salary of 2,400,000 KRW (approximately 2,273. USD)

2. Free, organized field trips every 2 weeks to cultural and historical
attractions in Seoul and in other parts of Korea.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Be a US citizen.
2. Be a native English speaker with a Bachelor degree or higher. English
majors or experienced teachers are preferred but not required.
3. Be between the ages of 22 and 62.
4. Be proficient in basic computer skills, such as word processing and internet
research.
5. Be able to travel alone.

Me, too. Sounds like it's on the level, other than they left out mentioning some key contract provisions in their ad, which is not illegal, unless they are left out of the contract.

Do they speak english in the 51st state?

Which 51st state are you talking about canada or puerto rico?

pyongshin's humor reminds me of the "gay" guy at the traffic control tower in the movie Airplane, but without the gayness. while everyone else is flipping out and being serious, he's wondering if he left the iron on at home or how to make a dinosaur paper mache.
