I am being sued because I protested/picketed/demonstrated. I have guts, unlike many of the foreign teachers in this country and on this board. Maybe you have been so lucky to have worked for such swell Wonjangs. Maybe, your parents taught you how to suck the pucker hole very well and that's why you are where you are. The protest should be about why foreign English Teacher can't find a job while being honest in South Korea. If I tell any future employer my real last employer and why I didn't finish the last month of my 1 year contract I won't be hired. I am now beginning to understand, it's discrimination! It doesn't matter if I have proof from the Labor Ministry that states I was fired illegally and am still owed salary money for hours worked. Nor, that I have proof from the police that I was assaulted[the owners(man/wife) ganged up on me and stole my picket sign behind the police station on my way to the Hakwon to picket. Don't fool yourself, the hakwon owners don't think protesting is a weak act. Try it, you big funny ha ha comedians. Why did I do what I did? for my money #1, to help other foreigners, and to hopefully give a message to the new Education Minister, if that's possible.

I will attend if:

A. it is a very somber candlelight vigil

B. we all shave off our hair

C. Sombody writes something in their own ESL blood

D. We all feel so strongly that we cry about our issue.

Some cheerleaders chanting Ohhhh F-u-c-k-i-n-g ROK!!, would be nice, but not totally necessary.

I was thinking of standing in Samsung Plaza with a sign that reads, "DO YOU HATE ME?" in Korean. I would hand out leaflets ripping on the Korean media for not tackling the real "illegal teachers" problems, which are:

1. Not checking degrees or backgrounds
2. People working on 6-month tourist visas
3. Immigration allowing multiple renewals of tourist visas

etc..

Hey Derrek - errr Gollum I thought the real problem was with Americans on 3 month visas...

You guys are pretty bad. Its very dissapointing. Sure, just show up for 2 hours with a sng or a drum, we tell the press ahead of time. Embarrass our opponents is public for a short while. Its pretty simple.
