This could apply in any country.

Monday always seems have a negative feel to it.
Working 6 days a week would make Monday feel even more hellish.
Many office workers on a 5 day work week are expected to(pressured) work well beyond 40 hours a week.
Those weekends are becoming more and more PRECIOUS! Laughing

My gf's in this boat. Drives me crazy. Nothing is worse than having to go out drinking with the staff until 2 and then being at work at 8:30.

In the article, two things struck me:
Quote:
As for symptoms of the disease, which has also been observed in racing pigeons,

This is the funniest thing I've seen in the Ilbo in a while. Talk about research! But how do you poll pigeons about absent-mindedness?

Quote:
27.4 percent perk up immediately after lunch

A little soju goes a long way, apparently.

That's why I still think my hypothetical Monday + Wednesday to Friday hagwon would still get teachers for 1.6 a month. I think I'd get a lot of second-year people who wanted to study or have more free time to do whatever.
