why doesn't anybody use brita filters here? they're cheap, don't require any jug- or bottle-lugging around, and don't run up the electricity bill.
they do the job, so why go with water coolers? |

brita filters don't work for the crap in the water here. i'm not worried about germs, but heavy metal content. btw, i don't eat crap off the street and i use bottled water for just about everything. |

That's the number of my particular branch of the pulmuone company in Gangnam.
My g/f has explained that our local Gangnam branch are doing the offer independently and it's not necesscarily a nation-wide offer. Sorry. I didn't know that earlier.
Edit! Another catch!! There's a 50,000 won deposit for the cooler. Refundable anytime you give up the cooler.
Try anyway. Doubt they speak English though. |

Why place trust in filtered water when you can drink real, pure mineral water for 20,000 per month or less.
If I was on an intense saving campaign I'd cancel the mineral water and buy a Brita filter. But I think I can afford 20,000 a month. |

You buy the lie too? Most of the time bottle water comes from the same place as the water you get from the tap. It's just run through a process of de-contamination.
Much like a Brita.
A lot of beverage companies who sell water actually add salt to it. Saltier water equals thistier customers equals more sales.
The "source" isn't a cascading water fall. It's a tap in a factory.

At the store we paid a 60.000 won deposit for the cooler and pay as we go with the bottles of water.
The PH level on the water is great too. |

What I would like to know is, how many months do you have to keep buying 4-18.9 litre jugs of water to retain the cooler? The first month or every month for the rest of your life?! |

Yes. Delivered to the place in you apt you want. You don't have to carry anything.

Are you sure? If something is described as mineral water then it should come from a natural source. If it needs filtered then whats the point?
My water says "mineral water" on the bottle so I expect it should come to me without any treatment or I'd call that false advertising. |

I'm told there's no contract for any time period. So 1 month to forever is okay. |
