I send money home to Canada every month....but can someone tell me how to know when I am getting the best rates?
Maybe a dumb question.....but it always puzzles me...send when the Won is high and CAD is low...Or??? Or when they are both doing well?
I know I have been getting more value for my won lately....forgive me...am a little daft with these things.
So, if anyone can tell me under what conditions I want to send money, and explain how it works in simple terms.......if you can. |

Strong won = good for bills at home
Strong home currency = bad for bills at home |

Currencies go up and down in value. Go to A CURRENCY CONVERTER website. Check the history of the dollar versus the won. Send when the value of the won is high versus the loonie. I use Yahoo. Go to Finance, then go to International. Click on Currency. |

In many years of moving money around, I have learned only that I should send what I need when I need. The rate on the day I need to make the transfer is the best rate I can get. |
